Trump shattered his promise to ‘drain the swamp.’ The self-dealing would be epic in a second term. - The Washington Post

LSSC: Season Five Episode Talk - Page 8 - Late Show With Stephen Colbert - PRIMETIMER

Jon MEACHAM comment again today about TRUMP. See this reference here - not new "Being willfully stupid is not part of the Christian tradition."

Louder for the people in the back, Meacham. Thank you
Also, the questions he has about this administration are the exact same ones I've been constantly asking myself and others these last few years (I loved his comment about "weaponizing narcissism"), so if he ever were to write a book exploring that aspect of this presidency, I would absolutely read that. So many mixed reactions reading this - from glee that Trump suffered embarrassment (if he know what that is) to horror over the ease of such huge manipulation of the impression facts render.

Checking my white privilege

Bravo. This comes from the writer's heart and we should speak more from there to more people more often with words we believe, as she obviously does, and which I fervently embrace.

George Will: There is no such thing as rock bottom for Trump. Assume the worst is yet to come. - The Washington Post

Supreme Court, in 5-4 Decision, Rejects Church’s Challenge to Shutdown Order - The New York Times

This serves as a stunning example of how our country is now divided between those committed to fairness and fundamental rights of government to protect us while also respecting our individual fundamental rights and the other side of zany zealot whose commitment seems to be to a system we never have had, did not embrace in 1776 or later and not supported by a razor's edge larger bulk of citizens. Life on this blade will remain perilous and at times it can risk to many human lives, as here.

Museum of Modern Art surveys Dorothea Lange's use of words and photography - The Washington Post

I dislike very much the current obsession with images without pictures. So much is lost in the now and forever in the hereafter. Such a missed opportunity. So few photo options provide equal opportunity and billing for captions or stories associated with pictures. Such a shame that the opportunity gets sacrificed in the name of quantity and speed.
